Deep Cover: Initial Thoughts
Okay, this one is a lot to look at , especially given how relatively little is actually said. Still, I think I'm starting to make sense of it, so here's my analysis that I've figured out so far.
I'll be using @/oehale on Twitter's translation of Kotoko's voice drama Yonah. As usual, I'll be bolding my general topics/thoughts and moving forwards with that. Let's get started!
Kotoko sees herself as the new warden.
The most obvious comparison here is the mimicking of UNDERCOVER. Kotoko, like the original UNDERCOVER, has lyrics that start with "UNDER" and are followed by talking about the other prisoners. She also basically says as much to Es; they're working together now. They should work together to make the "right" Milgram.
It's pretty obvious that our little innocent deal with Kotoko has gone straight to her head. She now sees herself as part of the authority of the prison, and believes it's her role to give out the proper punishment for guilty verdicts. However...
Kotoko believes everyone in the prison (other than her) should be guilty.
This is pretty obvious based on those previously mentioned "UNDER" lines. They're all very critical. Notably, the ones that most clearly indicate this-- towards the end of the song-- only include the innocent prisoners, but she's made it pretty clear that she agrees the earlier guilties should have also been guilty.
“UNDER” Doltish “001 Parasite” “UNDER” Obscene “002 Slut” “UNDER” Incessant “004 Phony Queen” “UNDER” Doomed “005 Dissection Pawn” “UNDER” Concealing “007 Deceiver” “UNDER” Inept “011 Guard”
Even Es, the "inept guard," gets to face Kotoko's judgment! That line is interesting in conversation with the audio drama, which focuses on Kotoko calling Es weak because they've grown to like and have sympathy for the prisoners. Kotoko has come to view Es, someone who is willing to forgive the guilty (in her perception) prisoners, as being guilty as well for not condemning them.
(Also, 011? Are you implying that something will happen after the tenth? Am I right about a Trial 4 in which we'll vote on Es??)
Notably, for Kotoko, wanting everyone to be voted guilty basically means that she wants everyone else to die. In the intro to the second Trial, Kotoko said that she wouldn't go as easy next time, and Mahiru already nearly died this time around.
So ridiculous, isn’t it ridiculous They’re still here, still here, it grates me
This also definitely seems pretty "get everyone else out of here (kill them)" to me, especially given that it's shown after Kotoko smashes all the pieces representing the innocent prisoners as well.
The guilty ones were already broken earlier into the MV:
Futa's and Mahiru's were broken first; they've already been "broken" in the sense that they've been attacked. The other guilty prisoners go next, as they're Kotoko's next targets. Then, finally, the rest of the originally innocent prisoners, who Kotoko hopes will be voted guilty sooner rather than later.
This is also a small note, but I find it interesting that the line "I want a reason for judgment execution, I want it" was initially translated as "I need a good reason to give justice" in the Trial 2 Song Preview. The specific reference to execution was added/wasn't emphasized in the original version. I don't know what the "correct" direct translation is, but I always stand by the fact that if the translators chose to translate something in a certain way, it's intentional.
(Side note, but I wonder if UNDERCOVER's change in official lyrics to include all of the prisoners' Trial 1 song titles happened when they decided to mimic it in Deep Cover, which also includes the Trial 1 song titles. Could be a reason for the change in translation.)
And, uh... that's all I got. That I'm confident about, anyways. I still have other thoughts, though, so rather than me having bolded claims as section titles, I'm just gonna have, like... categories.
The Girl
You.
We've seen her before, in HARROW:
So, she's the one Kotoko rescued from this guy, right? That's what this seems to be telling us. However, there are a couple of important details to consider.
Where's her hat?
What about the girl in the white dress?
What about the girl in the pink shirt?
I'll get back to 1 in a bit.
The girl with the white dress in question only appears shortly in HARROW, and as far as I can tell, not at all in Deep Cover:
It could technically be the same girl, I guess, given that we can't see her face. However, then there's the pink shirt girl:
There's also still this thing from HARROW:
In my original HARROW theory, I theorized that the guy abducted Kotoko (the girl in the pink shirt), but the girl in the white dress distracted him/sacrificed herself long enough for Kotoko to get away. The memorial/potentially a police notification?/whatever the sign with the flowers is belongs to the white dress girl. Kotoko then later tracks down the guy who did it, when he's abducting the girl in orange. Kotoko then kills him.
Honestly, I think that this still tracks. We didn't really get anything else about the memorial, the girl in white or the girl in pink in this MV-- or the guy she killed, for that matter-- so there aren't any conflicts. I'll be moving forward assuming that that's true.
So, then, back to the orange girl. She isn't wearing the hat Kotoko gave her when we see her getting dragged off. What does that mean?
Establishing the Timeline
It seems most likely to me that most of Deep Cover happens after HARROW's murder. That's not just because the opening shot of Deep Cover looks like the end of HARROW. There's a lot more going into that.
First off, there's the girl. I initially thought that she might be Kotoko's sister, given the apparent familiarity Kotoko seems to show to her, rubbing her head in the park scene. However, once I remembered my initial theory, there are only really two possible interpretations I can think of for her involvement with the man Kotoko kills.
Either
She isn't at all related to Kotoko, and they "met" when Kotoko rescued her by killing the man, OR
She IS Kotoko's sister, in which case Kotoko probably used her as bait to lure out the guy in order to follow him back to his warehouse and kill him.
The second one was my initial read, but after looking at it longer, I think the first one makes more sense on the whole. If I'm right that the first thing that happens in the Deep Cover MV is the murder, that means that the park scene happens after it.
This isn't hard evidence or anything, but notably, the hat the girl has says "LUCKY" on it. If she's lucky, it probably means that she's lucky that she survived the situation with the man. It wouldn't be luck if she was planted there by Kotoko; it would only be luck if she happened to be the victim who's abduction lined up with Kotoko's rescue mission.
The park scene is still a little confusing to me if they were strangers, though. After all, Kotoko pretty pointedly ignores the girl at 2:06 to 2:19ish, and as far as I can tell, nothing major happened between the park and then.
There are three main explanations I can think of.
The first one is that the girl tried to stop her. Like, maybe she thought it was really cool when Kotoko rescued her, but when she realized Kotoko went to go threaten/possibly kill someone who, like, stole something from a business or something, she thought that was too much. This is pretty much entirely based upon the fact that the "Tell me why you tell me stop" lyric lines up suspiciously well with the change in the girl's expression from happiness to surprise, and then eventually what looks like fear.
The second one is that Kotoko is distracted at that point. In the park, we see Kotoko still looking at her phone, presumably looking for more wrongdoers. She spends time with the girl while simultaneously working, so it's no bother to her to spend time with the girl. However, when the girl tries to greet her later, she's in work mode. After passing the girl, we see Kotoko marching on forward with smoke (?) around her. It's very dramatic and she looks very threatening. It's even possible that she's doing a werewolf transformation type of thing there. If Kotoko has her sights set on a target, she might be more unwilling to waste time talking to the girl. This would signify that the people she rescues are irrelevant to her; her focus is on punishing wrongdoers, not checking in on saved would-be-victims.
The third one is that the park actually happened after the thing on the street, but given that she's already wearing the hat on the street scene, which she first wears in the park, that doesn't make a lot of sense.
I think the second option makes the most sense, so it's what I'll be going with.
So, the timeline looks like this:
Kotoko, as a child, is abducted by that one guy. She wears a pink shirt in the flashback. The girl in the white dress intercepts and allows Kotoko to escape. Years later, after becoming a vigilante, Kotoko tracks down the same guy and kills him, rescuing the orange outfit girl in the process.
The orange outfit girl finds Kotoko in the park and either receives or shows Kotoko the hat she got. Kotoko, while still looking at information for her next target, entertains her because she isn't actively busy.
The girl tries to approach Kotoko on the street. However, Kotoko is heading after her next target, and there's no time to lose. The expression of intensity and general coldness Kotoko gives off intimidates the girl, and Kotoko proceeds with her plans.
So, that's how Kotoko's murder works, right? There's absolutely nothing else related to time that could drive me insane!
...
Becoming a Lunatic (The Moon Phases)
Okay, Kotoko's a werewolf, she attacks on the full moon, we all get it. Except... goddamn it, there's more moon than just the full moon.
As far as I can tell, there are three moon phases that are shown across HARROW and Deep Cover. The first one I'm talking about is the full moon.
The Full Moon
The wolf zone occurrence of the full moon in HARROW lines up with when she kills the guy, which makes sense. In Deep Cover, it's preceding the time where she smashes all of the remaining innocent prisoners. That hasn't happened yet.
Because moon cycles happen repeatedly, I think it's okay to say that the full moon happened in the past, when Kotoko killed the guy, and in the future, where Kotoko hopes to kill the other prisoners. It's even possible there's a full moon we didn't see when Kotoko attacked Mahiru and Futa.
Like, that's probably just a spotlight, but it definitely COULD be moonlight. Either way, we don't see the sky, so it at least isn't conclusively NOT a full moon then.
So, full moon = violence. What else?
The Waning Crescent
Disclaimer I know nothing about moons. I am working off of this chart from timeanddate.com. If it's wrong blame them, I can't find a better chart anywhere on the internet.
Notably, the waning crescent is what the moon is for pretty much all of HARROW, except the quick appearance of the full moon at the end. There are clearly visible shots of it around 1 minute and 2 minutes in.
I don't really know what specifically waning crescent is supposed to mean here. Google says that it's about change and reflection, but spoilers, that's what it also told me about the third moon phase that shows up, so I don't know how much stock to really put into that.
I think the most obvious (?) symbolism of it is that it's right before the new moon, when the light isn't shining at all. If I had to take a stab at what the new moon represented, I'd say it's times in which Kotoko is powerless. She's powerless when she's looking for information before the first murder, she's powerless when looking at her crossed out board (more on that later), and she's powerless now-- when we're going to vote. She can't give out justice without our help. This is the last part before we give our verdict on her, so as she's looking around at the other prisoners, innocent and guilty alike, she's preparing to be able to do nothing. She hopes she'll get back to that full moon and exact justice on the other prisoners, but that's only hypothetical for now.
Let's talk about that board really quickly. This is how it looks in the middle of Deep Cover, when the crescent shows up:
This is how it looks at both the beginning and end of HARROW:
This is another reason to believe that Deep Cover happens after the end of HARROW. After all, it'd be hard to un-black out the papers, and given that they're hanging in basically the same positions, it'd be surprising if they were replaced papers. So, that means that Kotoko blacks out her information sometime after she successfully kills the guy.
The scene with the blacked out board is immediately followed by the final moon phase, and then by the girl in orange in the park.
The Third Quarter Moon
The crescent moon on top of the board directly fades into this third quarter moon. This made sense to me until I saw the arrow on the moon phase chart telling me to read it counterclockwise. Then I was confused.
Because the third quarter moon happens immediately before the waning crescent, I think that this moon shift is meant to serve as a time rewind. The scene with the girl in the park (and therefore also, the girl on the street) happens before the scene with the blacked out board. This supports the idea that Kotoko ignored the girl because she was taking out a target; after that scene, all her targets are gone, so Kotoko can cross out the information about them on her wall.
This also checks out with the stuff with the girl in the park and on the street happening after Kotoko kills the guy, given that the third quarter moon comes a little bit after the full moon.
There's no occurrence of the third quarter moon in HARROW. However, it does actually show up one other time in Deep Cover.
At 2:28, the moon shows up in third quarter again, then transitioning to a pink full moon. I'd assume that this shift backwards in the moon cycle, as it did earlier, signifies turning back in time. However, the pink full moon refers to Kotoko killing all of the remaining Milgram prisoners, an event that's already in the future. What happens after the hypothetical future scenario of Kotoko killing everyone?
The answer is, Kotoko collapsing in the wreckage of the destruction she caused. She's in her warden outfit, so it's consistent. The scratch marks probably indicate that this is immediately after she turns back from being a werewolf, in the hypothetical pink full moon.
This indicates that, somewhere in her mind, Kotoko realizes that she might suffer from killing everyone else, collapsing under the weight. It does seem like Kotoko understands that being the one true savior is difficult.
K: I know it well. It's so hard to hold the responsibility of a guard all alone. I've also felt this way. You are such a kind person. You can't stand the prison changing with the power of your choices. So you need someone to be with. Leave all of the dirty work to me.
Even if she wants to present herself as someone who's crushed her own weakness, she still has to worry. The lyrics of the chorus are begging Es to give her her next target. If she doesn't have people to target, she doesn't have purpose. Her board is all blacked out; the guilty prisoners will be crushed. Once all that's said and done... what else is she going to do?
Conclusion
Anyways, that's my best shot at understanding this MV. It is... confusing. The main things I still don't understand across the two MVs are the many wolves with purple glowing eyes in HARROW and what the hell the pieces that represent the other prisoners in Deep Cover are. If they're not chess, then what are they???
oh wait lmao i forgot
VERDICT: GUILTY
We already knew this one.
I can't tell Kotoko that it's right to kill the rest of the prisoners, and she really needs to be restrained. I don't know exactly what the damage is gonna be to Kotoko's mental state, but for the safety of everyone else, I kinda have to. She makes fair points about us verbally torturing prisoners not being that different from physically harming them, but... we're at the very least not shooting to kill?? Like, if you kill them, there's no hope at redeeming them. That's what we're trying to do, even if the tactics Milgram gives us are less than ideal.
Anyways, tell me your thoughts and if any of this made sense! Happy end of Trial 2!

so about the man that the guilty prisoners saw (apologies if any of this sounds weird, my brain is going through it hjdkdksd). i have no idea who this guy is supposed to be, like is he an actual character or not, but i think he's most likely just a representation of how they feel about their verdict? maybe?
about the outfit he wears in daisuke's dream: perhaps it's a reference to daisuke's personality, you know, the first sentence of his personality section literally mentions him being "playful and laidback", but there's also his t1 vd's title. i think even what he says to him is kind of a reference to him "putting up a front", since the man is asking about what daisuke's true intentions were.
he had a silver wand in suzume's dream, i'm not sure what it means exactly, but my first thought was like.. maybe some kind of person who can fulfill your wish or someone who has some kind of magic powers (like fairy godmother /j). the question he asks suzume also kinda fits in my opinion, like is this the kind of love she wished for?
not sure what the man's monocle could mean in kiyoshi's case, maybe it could represent "maturity" or "appearing professional"? or maybe observing stuff and watching things go? "just accept your punishment quietly" also sounds like.. idk, like "the proper thing that an adult should do". like, don't throw a tantrum, don't try to fight, don't try to prove that they're wrong, just accept it and move on.
mayumi being in a cinema hall kinda feels like her.. uhhh, what's the right word.. basically like she's watching other criminals do all kinds of bad things (not the milgram prisoners, but like, just criminals in general)? and him smiling at her could mean that she still thinks that she was in the right, but maybe he's teasing her in a way, sort of like "you haven't changed at all, huh".
uhhhh that's all the thoughts i have rn, sorry if these don't make any sense!
The man is actually supposed to be a character! But for now, he's more of a weird concept that exposes more parts of the guilty prisoners (+ Mayumi) in true Milgram fashion. You tried your best, and you got the meaning of the dialogues right! :D
You're completely right about Daisuke's part. Daisuke is someone who is used to paying attention to people's general aura and clothes to figure them out, so he focused mostly on the man's eccentric clothes. In terms of his theme, compared to Suzume, he's more of a "manipulator" than the "manipulated".
The man's wand is actually less of a magic thing and actually gives a clue to his title. A real profession that involves the use of a wand. I'll give you another hint, its music related.
Kiyoshi had some eye imagery in his t2 MV, so him focusing on the man's monocle is a references to that. Whether the scrutinizing is internal or external is another thing.
You're kinda right about Mayumi's part? Honestly, the reason she's the only one that remembered the setting of her dream has a mundane reason to it, but I'll keep that a secret for now. 🤫

so this might be me projecting a little (okay maybe a lot), but i have a thought on haruka's s2 mv that i need to scream into the void.
spoilers for "all-knowing and all-agony" below the cut. also i will be talking a lot about strict/bad parenting and referencing my own experiences a lot to explain my thoughts. also also content warning for violence and animal death among others that i can't think of as i will be using screenshots from the mv.
---------------
first off, i'm going to be explaining something before getting to haruka proper to make sure we all have context. please bear with me, or just skip down to the bolded text where i get to haruka fr.
so asian parents, right? i have them, other people have them, you who is reading this might have them idk your family, and haruka - being japanese - probably has them. you know that stereotype where the asian parent(s) are all "study hard and harder! also do extra curriculars like studying music because it'll help your grey matter!" well as humorous as it is to me personally, it's also very much based in reality if my experience growing up as well as how my friends' relatives are like (those friends thankfully have more chill parents raising them, but the same cannot be said of their aunts and uncles) are anything to go by. as well as the plethora of media and online posts you'll see made by asians about that type of parent. not every asian parents are like that if that wasn't made clear by my earlier statement regarding my friends, and of course there are non-asian parents who are very much like that (hi american soccer moms), but it is definitely a trope that many a child can attest to.
now these parents have a tendency to show off their children's accomplishments. look at my child! they got top prize at their piano competition! my child got a perfect score on all their tests and is the top of their class! my child is so accomplished, they bought a whole house, two cars, and is the bread winner of their family of four at their young age! it's a metaphorical dick measuring competition as if to show off how ""right"" the parents raised their kids. but what of the kids who can't be the best of the best? who are just average or, worse (in the parents' eyes) below average?
they're treated like failures. one form of this can be that of pressure and comparison to others more accomplished than the child - the form that i personally experienced. your parents might show you the accomplishments of other people your age through telling you stories of their friends' and coworkers' ""more successful"" kids to try to ""inspire you,"" and though maybe they doing it with good intentions, you can't help but hear the words "look at how successful this person is. they are the same age as you with the same or even less opportunities than you, yet why can't you be this?"
and yet another form - one that i witnessed happening to one of my brothers - is the form of being an outcast from the family. treated like the "black sheep," the parents low key (or very obviously) give up on the child as if they're a lost cause, a waste of time, money, and effort. perhaps the parents still love the child in a way and aren't completely negligent, yet for the success-hungry parents, their efforts that they frame as love are turned away from their "lost" child and are either focused onto the child's siblings or other people's kids such as cousins and other relatives, family friends, and students (not necessarily in a creepy way, to clarify, just in a way that prioritizes those kids' success over the "failed" child).
now onto haruka.
so when you're a little kid who has yet to be disenfranchised and, in your parent's eyes, are full with potential, you might have liked to do things that your parents thought made your successful, though it wasn't because you too wanted to be successful. it was because it made your parents happy and gave you positive attention. perhaps haruka may have done this when he was younger based on these lines
however, what happens when you grow up yet your development plateaus? all the crayon drawings that you're good at hardly matter anymore because now they want to to get good grades and talents that you simply don't have and are out of your reach. now you've become the failure that was described above. and with failure comes:
comparisons to other people
admonishment, subtle or not, for being the way you are
attention once meant for you being given to others
and abandonment, metaphorical or literal.
all that? that really grates on a person's psyche.
whether or not haruka was previously seen as one of those gifted children, it hardly matters right now. because right now, all he is considered is a failure by his parents. (his mother's lack of attention towards him is apparent by her disappearing in the s1 mv and a lot throughout s2 mv, though for his father, haruka's fifth interrogation question makes the father's disappointment obvious).
well, this is only part of my current theory for haruka anyways. there are of course other factors that should be considered, such as haruka having a mental disorder such as autism, which could be a double whammy for people with these success-hungry parents since there are still many other there that see mental disorders purely as a negative.
#am i projecting? no. maybe. yeah okay i am i def am#although i would love to get into all the other thoughts on haruka they're#a) not original and you'll probs see them everywhere if you haven't already#b) not what i want to focus on today#i just want to project and cry and jam out to yet another absolute banger from the milgram team#maybe another day or maybe not because again you'll see it everywhere if you haven't already#milgram#ミルグラム#haruka sakurai#my stuff

Rambling rants: money and freedom
Yesterday Hybe CEO announced that all 4 remaining members - Suga, Jimin, V and Jk will release solos next year and that Jk the youngest hasn't confirmed his enlistment date yet.
The article also stated that Jhope, Jin and RM have already released their solos this year (RM's one is upcoming).
I based my previous assumptions on them staggering the solo albums so that Jin wouldn't be singled out as the only one without an album before enlistment...guess I was wrong.
And the fact that they counted Jin's last minute single as his 'album'. Speechless. Are they really putting that on par with other members' solo releases including multiple songs, ample planning time and album promotions?
I'm not complaining about Jin's single, it's wonderful he got to do a song and release a physical for it before enlisting, but if they are taking this as his solo release for chapter 2... 🤬
Jin's promotion had included a few variety show appearances... yet The Astronaut wasn't even mentioned on Youngji's show.
And he was writing lyrics for the song the night before filming the MV????? And no one in the company was available to help confirm his lyrics, so he let Chris Martin hear them (the lyrics are Korean mind you) and Chris said they sounded ok so they went with it?
Jin came up with the cartoon character concept, chose the jacket photos, the poster... and wasn't satisfied with the stickers available to those who received the Wootteo plushie so he was going to discuss this more with the staff after he went back from Argentina.
Jin's single release also overlapped with their teasers and presale for the group 'Special 8 Photo Folio' which took away some attention and sales from Jin's solo.
It's more infuriating when I think about the reason behind why they decided to release the group photo book suddenly when not all of the members' solo photo books are out yet. It's right after the Busan expo so fan sentiment and interest is high = higher sales, and with Jin enlisting they might have issues with making a profit off the photo book once he's in the army (rule that they can't make money while serving and all profits go to the government) so it's best to begin presale before he enlisted. What about Jin's photo book? Not as guaranteed to make a profit so not as urgent?
I'm really disliking this new direction of money before artists. BTS built Hybe. Hybe is now like 'thanks guys, we'll do our best to distance this company from you so that if you fail, we won't. Meanwhile, you still have to listen to everything we say.'
I'm not going to impose my original opinions on their enlistment timings here since the timetable has already been set by the CEO's words.
I'm just disappointed in how they seem to have given Jin up from the way they dragged the enlistment announcement from BE all the way to Busan Expo (2 whole years), letting him take the bulk of the backlash and doesn't seem to care that he's the only one who wouldn't get a proper album before enlistment. They filled the guys' schedules with group activities until the last minute before Jin has to go, giving him no time to settle and work on his songs. Just look at the amount of backlog content they filmed during the past two years, they've also repeatedly said they had no time for their own work when doing group activities.
....so tired. I know some OT7 fans and non Jin biased armys are probably tired from hearing Jin stans complaining about his treatment but seriously, they don't even hide it well at times how they are so callous with Jin? I used to be more patient as I'm aware Jin wasn't that musically focused at the beginning and was someone who need to put in a bit more effort than the rest to keep up. But over the years, he's proven his worth as a singer, shown interest and initiative in making songs for fans, improved drastically in performing, did his best to entertain us during their variety shows... and yet you still see him being 'forgotten' on OT7 banners, excluded from group photos and even by some major fan accounts when they make group content. I'm so tired.
I'm holding my breathe until Jin comes back to see if they would give him a full album because as of right now I'm just done with the company.

Is that love life? I don't know a lot about musical and idol anime but I would love to give it a shot. The extent of my knowledge begins and ends at the game me and my friends were obssessed with for a while.
RUBS HANDS TOGETHER
YES!! she's ayumu from love live nijigasaki high school idol club! they operate a little differently to u's and aqours (i'm guessing you know who they are if you played the game), they have 12 members rather than 9 and they're all solo idols, so they have a lot of solo songs and only a few group songs. there's also LL superstar now which is about a five-member group! the nijigaku anime is really really good, you can actually watch it without having seen the previous anime bc it's technically a spinoff series. and we're getting a season two :D
if you only played school idol festival, there is also another LL game focused on nijigaku which has proper 3D MVs and stuff

Yay!! Im happy to hear that! Hopefully you can rest up well from your semester!
Ahh by that I meant like you know how kpop albums have concept pictures included? Thats how I view what the TTT magazines are just minus a physical disc cx sorry for the confusion!! Honestly this is all so new and interesting, seventeen never really done something like this. Yes we had mixtape songs but not in this way so promotion will be different. I saw wonwoo and mingyu are doing a song but that isn't related to spider so that means its like jun's and minghao's songs. Which makes things a bit confusing lol, not complaining since hey more content for us ^_^ but yeah guess we have yo see when the next solo actually is. Oh and seventeen coming back!! This is the kind of news I needed, I'm shocked they actually have their own usa site to buy stuff (sort of like nct has) because I know bts nor txt don't. Well bts USED to but that was before bighit decided to shut it down in favor for weverse which sadly I don't see the need for (plus call me old and weird but I don't trust buying stuff from apps? Like I feel a bit more comfy on a computer which Ik doesn't mean its not safer but meh, apps make me fishy lol) also Walmart is selling the albums, bless my family uses Walmart alot (like we used it last night xD) so maybe I can squeeze it in next time? Granted I want to wait for the concept photos first because while I do like a surprise, its also just nice knowing what the vibe is. Or be the complete opposite of what the mv will be about lol.
Ahh as much i was being hopeful and had her eat, sadly my bunny didn't make it =c she passed away on the weekend. She was a strong bunbun, she tried her best to make it out but alas she didn't win. I'm a bit happy my gut instinct told me to spend time with her because at least I got to be with her for her last hour. It kinda sucks because I feel slightly guilty because I couldn't get her the proper help so I feel like I let her down (especially after I found out from reviews the food I bought for her is actually not good for bunnies and can cause problems so I feel dumb) I shouldn't since I gave my bunny the best love I could give while caring for her so she wasn't in a bad place with me. Still can't shake that off, feels weird not waking up and seeing her around or like when I play games she isn't near me chilling. Healing takes time of course so I'm making myself busy with enjoying content from my favorite artists. I made a lil promise that I would finish a game that I played alot while she joined me (it sounds silly but I viewed it as like "our game" ya know?) For her in memory. Sorry for babbling about this bsksbsjd. Losing a pet isn't fun at all. I am so sorry about your cat *hugs you* im sure that furry buddy was well loved!! If I may ask of course, do you have a favorite memory of your cat? Like any funny moment or cute ones?
ahhh ok i get what you mean! it will definitely be interesting to see how it all plays out since SVT haven't done a project like this before. I'm really curious how spread out all the solos are going to be. esp with a cb coming up it seems unlikely we'll get a TTT solo any time soon? but then again SVT are always surprising us these days. but i wonder if they'll come out just whenever a member happens to prepare it or if it's all scheduled out at semi regular intervals 🤔
but yeah it looks like bittersweet is part of the power of love project as opposed to TTT... it's getting complicated real fast! and yeah SVT is definitely expanding into/focusing more on US promotions now... it will be interesting to see how it all plays out! but i totally get what u mean about preferring to buy things on the computer it's funny how that is sometimes djfkgj i had been thinking about preordering the other day since it seemed like we wouldn't be able to pick the version we want anyway, but now that there are some shops that let you i definitely want to wait and see the teaser photos. every day i keep expecting them to start releasing but we get a different surprise instead OTL
I'm sorry to hear about your bunny :( but it's good that you were able to spend time with her at the end, I'm sure it made her feel safe to have someone who cared for her by her side rather than being alone <3 try not to feel too guilty about it, since what's done is done and there's no way to know for sure if it was the sole reason for her failing health. it's good that you're able to recognize and work through your grief, and i think finishing that game is a great way to do that and to honor her memory :')
and thanks, we lost her a little while ago now so luckily thinking about her is more nostalgic than sad. but as for a funny story Riley was a gremlin. she got up on the counters and kitchen table a lot when we weren't looking. she also liked eating paper and we had to be careful where we left things bc once she ate my sister's homework. which, ok, she didn't eat the entire paper but she did eat a corner of it and sort of ripped and crinkled the rest. i can't remember if my sister turned it in like that or if she had to redo it djgkgj
here's a picture of the frame/shadowbox thing my mom made for her after she died with photos, her collar (which she hated and hardly ever wore dhfk), and her favorite toy ;-;
also u didn't ask but here's my other cat liberty from a few days ago :P (she's getting older and has arthritis and kidney issues but she's still alive and kicking!)

What I find interesting about the 'chav discourse' is that it is seemingly solely focused on his clothing (aside from his usage of the word during the BTY promo, which has stopped while the discourse remains hyper focused on clothes now). I'm always curious why the people who hate this 'image' so much don't complain about his strong accent or mentioning of his hometown and use of it in the MV and photoshoots. Wouldn't those also contribute to that image they dislike? Why the focus on clothes?
It’s definitely not just the clothes - it’s just the clothes that people are focusing on now, because we’re not getting much of him talking. During the BTY radio tour there was a lot of hostile discussion on whenever Louis called himself a ‘chav’ or very obviously positioned himself as working-class.
I think there are a few different answers. One is lack of knowledge - lots of people throw around the word ‘chav’ in this fandom without a very good grip on what it means. Some people go to Daily Mail comment sections and report back on whether or not Louis is being called a ‘chav’.
But I also think there is also an idea that if Louis can’t be culturally middle-class (with a rather strong subtext of that being what proper gays should be) then he should at least be respectable working-class (and it’s working class respectability not being middle-class, which is the opposite stereotype that ‘chav’ is designed to play off). And this is where exactly the lines that hte idea of ‘chav’ is policing becomes clear. He can come from Doncaster and have the accent, but fandom will get upset about him dressing in clothes that expensive but not respectable or him acting in an unruly manner that people might judge.
The entire purpose of the concept of a ‘chav’ is to try and police working-class behaviour and dehumanise working-class people who won’t do what they’re told and this fandom re-enacts that again and again on someone who they’re supposedly a fan of.
#chavcourse#I know what people are doing#but I don't understand why they think it's OK#as I said in the last post#I find the willingness to participate int his discourse quite terrifying#Anonymous

"You don't know how incredible this is!"
"That's the kind of group you are!"
"This just defies belief!"
~ BANG PD
If there's anyone still doubting the genuine relationship between BTS and BANG PD, well then, here's your proof.
Do you hear the amount of pride and emotions in his words? This is a man who has been by these boys' sides since the very beginning. This is a man who bet everything he had on this teenage boy, an underground rapper from the small city of Ilsan. A man who, not only continued to support these young artists when they faced backlash for "selling out", but who also faced some of this same treatment himself because of his decision to debut BTS. From hatred, bigotry, prejudice, and even racism, these 8 have stood strong together, and it was through their unfathomable work ethic, their unbreakable spirit/determination, and their homemade family bond, that they have successfully proven every hater wrong.
Bang Si-Hyuk believed in these 7 incredible legends from the moment he met them, and he's expressed this multiple times over again. Here's a few examples:
He took this group of boys, who were literal strangers, and he placed all of his faith and trust into their dreams and into their vision. BigHit was on the verge of bankruptcy at one point, they didn't even have the type of funds to cover MV expenses or stuff that would be necessary for making a successful K-pop group; however, despite this fact, Bang PD still managed to provide the boys with a dorm, food, and the equipment that would allow them to pursue their passions.
When it comes to most groups in this industry and their relationship between their CEO or manager, it's usually always strictly business, but those rules just don't apply to BTS and Bang PD. Now don't get me wrong, they still show the proper amount of respect that is required for someone who is older and more experienced, and they always put in the work when asked to, but when all is said and done, Bang PD's presence in these boys' lives symbolizes so much more than just BigHit's CEO, he's become like a 2nd father to them. He's someone in a high position of power yet he never uses this status against anyone and he always treats all of them as his equals, I mean just look at how friendly they refer to him here:
This fact becomes even more evident when we see how he always allows BTS to have freedom over their music and concepts; he respects them so much so, that he even allowed them to produce, compose, direct and design their next album, giving them complete creative control! And if that wasn't enough, just recent Bang PD also gave up some of his shares to the boys, making them co-owners of his own company. Do you understand the amount of trust that takes???
Now just imagine watching these same 7 driven and dedicated boys, who you've literally helped raise, who you've seen practicing and recording into all hours of the night, giving up their sleep because they were more focused on perfecting their craft, who you've seen stumble, fall, get injured, and beat themselves up for said craft, the same boys you've seen at their lowest of lows, in tears and at their breaking point both mentally and physically, the one's who had to make mistakes in order to learn from them, but who have also grown and transformed into 7 incredible, inspirational men, who are now leaving a positive and powerful impact on the world, because of the experiences and knowledge that manifested from those same mistakes, just imagine being there through every moment of this, witnessing the heartache and hardships turn to smiles, tears of joy, and celebrations of victory, then imagine on top of all of this, included alongside these victories is the #1 spot on one of the most famous music charts which is centered hundreds of miles away, across the ocean, and in a completely different country where music is a very prevalent and sometimes an exclusive concept to people seen as "foreigners", and this feat was achieved not once, but TWICE (well 3 times now!) by those same 7 boys you first met back when they were mostly just a group of ragtag teenagers...
I know Papa Bang is not always one to openly show his emotions, he even made it a point to the editors to state that he was in fact "not crying" in this video, but even despite his denial, I have no doubt that there were definitely some tears shed in this moment. I mean if ARMY couldn't stop crying with how happy and proud we were of our boys, how do you think the one man who always believed in BTS even from the very beginning felt?
This relationship is real, it is full of genuine love, respect, trust, and admiration. To those who still can't understand this or who cannot see the truth that's right in front of your eyes...well, I'm sorry ✌
And if you still don't know how much this achievement meant to our boys, here's a little reminder
I'M VERY EMOTIONAL RN!!!!
***Well I've been emotional since this Bangtan Bomb dropped, but unfortunately I had to work and couldn't finish this post until now so anyways...***

@knk-sscollection I totally get what you're saying and I never said anything else. I simply said there are other companies who handle concerts better, and that MMT is doing pretty harmful and fucked up stuff. Not only to fans, but in the end also to the idols (due to security check fails and oversold venues etc.). I also do get that the artists need money, however MMT partly demands so much money that they sell such few tickets that venues get cancelled (happened to SF9 Amsterdam for example). That is partly due to prices, but also a lot due to the make4make actions of fans. That surely isn't MMT's fault, however it's their responsibility to get proper IT solutions to avoid make4make or take measures against people who do so. So far they just always said they stop them, but as I said people continued. And since make4make is a huge thing, I ask you, how exactly can MMT ever be sure if the amount of people who voted, actually voted because they wanna see the band, or because they participated in make4make ? Well they can't, hence the problem with selling tickets/booking venues with appropriate capacity.
Apart from that, I never said I don't wanna support the artists I like. I gladly support them if I have the means, but honestly said it's absolutely impossible to constantly travel to the capital cities. I met so many people who had to travel through half the country (or entire country south to north) because of concerts - which actually proved that there were more than enough people who would have went to another venue in the same country, but closer to them. But MMT is so focused on capital cities, that they completely ignore other cities (no matter how big they are). Which means that 1. They force fans to come to capitals because they don't leave them any choice 2. They loose plenty of potential buyers who simply cannot travel 8 hours for each concert.
And now another topic, the ticket prices. Concluding from your reasoning of KNK needing the money because they are broke, it makes sense to me tickets cost 150 euros. It also made sense to me in the case of A.C.E, since they also gathered money for the production of their new MV through tours. I am very aware of this. However, that theory doesn't make sense in the slightest when it comes to groups like MX, Stray Kids, GOT7 etc. Are they broke? I don't think so. We don't even know how much money they get from the entrance fees. I don't know MMTs internal pricing policy, so the question is if the artists even get the amount of money they need. Especially now that many groups suddenly have very similar prices I wonder how much money even goes to the artists themselves in the end. But well that we can only speculate about.
Anyways I think you didn't really get what I said. I literally addressed all these people who complain and rage and trashtalk MMT, but still go to each concert then. I don't understand that behaviour, hence I addressed it. I never said quit supporting artists. I simply make people aware of the problems which arise with MMT. And I'd love to make MMT themselves aware of that as well. But they are monopolists. They don't care. They know they can act however they want to, and that's absolutely disgusting. They barely reply to emails, they ignore negative comments, messages and tweets - They just literally don't give a shit. And getting people to idk mass email MMT and tell them to change things is nearly impossible because fans are literally afraid that they then won't see their groups anymore for good. It's a really shitty situation, but I'm afraid one can't do much about it anyways - until enough people are tired of them and demand them to improve.
So in conclusion, I'm sry if it seemed as if I demand people to stop going to concerts or anything. I wouldn't. 1. I'm not in the position to demand anything from anyone. 2. I want my groups to survive and I am very aware about the fact how helpful concerts can be. I simply critisized MMT and their actions, but sorry if it came off wrongly.
Real talk: I love how people CONSTANTLY complain about MMT but still run to each single concert. That's f*ckn WEAK ya all.
They oversell venues so tons of people faint. They support camping but then don't manage the mess that happens due to it. They have ridiculous prices. They only play in some few European capitals. Kanzenmusic went to freaking Athens do you hear me. In comparison with MMT they understood Europe is NOT only Berlin, London and Paris.
You complain and complain...yet you keep going there?!
I can tell ya, I'd freaking LOVE to go to the KNK concert. I'd love to go see Pentagon. But thanks to MMT I'd have to pay absolute hilarious prices (150 euros for a highfive ???) plus additional 250 euros for travelling expenses, because I'm not one of these people who lives in Berlin, London or Paris. So do I wanna see KNK and Pentagon? YES. Do I wanna pay 400 euros for unfair treatment, stress, fainting, ridiculous security (who doesn't even notice when people smuggle objects into the venue) etc? F*CK No.
If you all hate them so much...why do you still support them? They will never stop. They will never improve. Can you all not just boycott them at this point. Ah no wait: OPPA WON'T GET ANY MONEY THEN I HATE MMT BUT I GOTTA SUPPORT OPPA UWUWU. Srly I'm pissed and sad.
